Dr. Fattahi, having provided more than 22,000 successful vein treatment sessions, has a vast experience in the clinical application of modern phlebology innovations. He is the first physician in Northern California to implement the clinical use of both major breakthroughs (VNUS Closure & ELVeS) in the world of modern phlebology. Dr. Fattahi is also one of the first physicians in California to use Foam-Sclerotherapy in the treatment of different types of varicose veins. Each of these treatments constitute a great advancement in non-surgical therapy of varicose veins, and great alternatives to traditional ligation & stripping surgery for most patients.

Dr. Khalil Fattahi graduated from medical school of National University of Iran in 1979. Dr. Fattahi completed his internship and residency training at St.
Barnabas Hospital, affiliated with NewYork Hospital Cornell University in 1987. He is Board Certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine, and an active member of American College of Phlebology since 1992. Dr. Fattahi has provided presentations and training to many physicians and surgeons both at his clinic and at major medical conferences and seminars in the field of phlebology.

Facing the lack of sufficient attention to varicose vein disease by the medical community at large, Dr. Fattahi became committed to mastering the field of phlebology by focusing on new effective non-surgical treatment methods.

Since 1991, he has attended numerous seminar and training courses in phlebology. In November 2001 for the first time in medicine, Dr. Fattahi introduced "vulvar and para-labia varicose veins as an origin of leg varicosity". He made his presentation of this common, yet ignored, condition and its simple treatment at the American College of Phlebology conference. His treatment has offered great results for many women who suffer from this annoying form of varicose vein.

Dr. Fattahi is the first physician in Northern California to use VNUS closure (radiofrequency energy), and ELVeS procedure to treat varicosity of the greater saphenous vein.

Dr. Fattahi believes that in the case of varicose veins, best results can only be achieved through addressing the source of the problem, in addition to correcting superficial visible veins. Thus, experience and knowledge of the physician are both of great importance. Whether it is unsightly spider veins or the large painful varicose veins, he believes that each patient deserves personalized care for their own unique situation. Dr. Fattahi is committed to making high quality treatments affordable and available to everyone.
